We recorded this beautiful play at www.play4keeps.org with David Kelly and Terri McMahon reprising their lead roles from its reading at ANPF 2015. They were joined by John Pribyl, Tamra Mathias, and Meghan Nealon in telling this tale about how love pushes, stretches, caresses, batters, and never fails to surprise in leading us to places we never suspected we wanted to go. Skye is a playwright to be paid close attention.

A witty and wonderful play about our choices and the consequences they bring. I found the characters to be well conceived and the roles, especially the female roles, complex and meaty! I love the sex positivity in an older couple too!

Well laid plans get interrupted with the addition one didn't know was coming, perhaps for the better. Love, family and art beautifully shown!

I can't recommend the Play4Keeps recording of this play highly enough. It will make you laugh out loud, fall in love with the characters, and question your own life choices. It will also make you desperately want to see a full production of this deeply moving play.

Skye Robinson Hillis masterfully paints these sympathetic characters who are wonderfully charming, sexy, and complex. Despite any complications that may arise, the foundation of Corinne and Michael's relationship is love and respect, which is exciting to see with such smart and mature characters. Allison is also compelling. She enters with her own life, giving her a grounded sensibility that was refreshing for a character her age. A great read but Hillis' poetry and characters DEMAND a life on the stage!

It is remarkably refreshing to see a relationship between a middle-aged, married couple built in adoration and commitment, with a healthy sex-life to boot. Skye has a masterful voice which is used to great effect to create honest, open, flawed, and engaging characters. The love, patience, and devotion that's built between these characters (and which so effortlessly fills in the world and history that exists before Scene 1) makes the conflict they face together all the more heart-wrenching.

AND VASTER is a touching play about opening yourself up to include the unexpected in life. In many ways this is a play about the emotional experience of ambivalence, fear of change and fear of mortality. Set in the world of New York theater actors, the play also has delightfully witty characters who are coming to terms with what they have sacrificed to make their careers on the stage. An honest examination of what it takes to sustain marital love in the face of the extraordinary as well as ordinary outside threats.

It is a pleasure to see a well-crafted play about a happily married couple where the conflict comes from outside, not inside, their relationship. This play uses humor and drama in equal measure, and the poetic language invoked by the title is sprinkled throughout its realistic dialogue to great effect.

When I heard this piece read at the Great Plains Theatre Conference, I was struck by the poetry that weaved in and out of everyday conversations, elevating small moments into emotionally resonant arias. The writer's intelligence, sense of humor and ambition shines through each scene.
