A gorgeous play about surviving trauma through a magical lens that transforms the experience into one that connects so powerfully. Beautiful!

  • Hayley St. James: All We Know Is Not Enough

Powerful, inclusive, gorgeous magical realism that centers trans representation, refugee representation, and that great human desire for connection. It left me utterly speechless. More theatre like this, please.

Through tender characters and a brilliant command of magical realism, Darcy Parker Bruce illustrates a story about connection that is tangibly poetic.

  • Cody Sloan: All We Know Is Not Enough

This is a beautiful play about family, love, trauma, and survival. I found it looking for plays with transgender characters, and absolutely love how Darcy Parker Bruce includes trans and queer characters in such a complex, human way. We are so often left out of stories of such large scope and fantasy, and it was so wonderful to see queer/trans people in this world. And so important to see the connection between different marginalized groups - how our survival and liberation are bound together.

  • Quinn Xavier Hernandez: All We Know Is Not Enough

Bursting with magic, ALL WE KNOW IS NOT ENOUGH delivers a powerful message about seeking help and distractions in life. Darcy Parker Bruce’s flow is amazing and practically effortless as she glides between her two vastly different settings. The character of the dragon is also an amazingly fun challenge that any creative team would love to tackle. #PlaywrightPlug

  • Shaun Leisher: All We Know Is Not Enough

This play really speaks to our need to reach out in times of crisis for help and for distraction. The way it effortlessly flows between locations and between fantasy and reality is a true strength of this play. A piece that is for actors, directors, designers and audiences that desire to expand their definition of theatre.

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: All We Know Is Not Enough

Distance - this play gives me a palpable sense of the distances between us even when we are close as in siblings, and how someone far away, as far as the world might currently allow, can seem closer than those who are literally nearby. Bruce has a great sense of theatrical space and how to build worlds that feel different enough to lose your heart in.
