I had the pleasure of seeing a developmental reading of this play at Texas State University last year during the Black and Latino Playwright's Conference. The reading was powerful, the described theatricality of the piece was incredibly vivid, and I can't wait to see a full blown production of this play. It's fantastic, timely, poignant, funny, and gripping.

This play is wonderfully theatrical, and a vital addition to the American theatre! Galvan hits the nail on the head in a way that leaves you feeling chilled and thrilled while keeping a positive comic book vibe throughout! It's an absolutely important piece and you must give it a read!

I had the honor to experience this play as an actor in a staged reading presented by San Francisco's Lorraine Hansberry Theater on Jan 18, 2017. It is a vital and moving piece that deserves production EVERYWHERE! Ms. Craig-Galvan takes a narrative we all know well - black child killed by white cop - and zooms in on the mother's journey through this narrative using fantasy, transformation, and theatricality. This is one of those plays that through personalization and specificity tells a powerful universal story. I applaud Ms. Craig-Galvan for putting a woman at the story's center.

Inda’s writing is the most original voice I have read this year and her characters are alive with variety and attitude. But…the best part is her bravery in theme. She explores some of the hardest politics of our time in a refreshing and sincere way. Overall, a strong character piece that is a treat for dramatic actors.

This is the most necessary play I have ever read. It needs to be produced yesterday! Somehow, through all the trauma this play explores, the playwright makes us laugh as much as she makes us cry. But, most importantly, she leaves us with genuine hope.
