Recommendations of Abortion Road Trip

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: Abortion Road Trip

I love this play and how theatrical it is - how it takes what could be a very static situation (a long road trip) - and turns it into a way to understand the lengths we have to go to to take care of ourselves today. I love the complexity of the choices these characters face. I would love to see this staged!

  • Taylor Hudson: Abortion Road Trip

A smart, genuine, and fearless comedy that celebrates women; their failures, their triumph, their courage. Lynett skillfully keeps the tone light despite the "heavy" subject matter and weaves the separate stories of three women together seamlessly. Easy dialogue paired with smart theatrical devices turns an easily polarizing subject matter into a beautiful and important play.

  • Gina Femia: Abortion Road Trip

What a ride! This play is fiercely funny and fearless, filled with well rounded female characters. I especially enjoyed the complex sister relationship at its core, as well as all the female voices that populate the play.

This is a beautiful play. So amazing to read dialogue between women that is so real and effortless. I would very much like to produce this play.
I don't love the title, but I think that's ok. It is very descriptive and will definitely tell audiences that this play deals with abortion, so chose to come accordingly.
