A crucially important story of an all too common occurrence on campuses everywhere. Powerful and well done.

A brilliantly structured, nausea-inducing, hugely important piece about campus culture, perception, and sexual assault. Bublitz uses time and space in a masterful fashion, weaving context into a story we have already decided we understand in the first scene, but which is slowly pieced together to create the whole picture. This should be high on the list for potential productions everywhere, particularly on university campuses.

I saw a brilliant production of this at Z Space Theatre in San Francisco. Tightly constructed and brilliantly plotted, it presents a complicated situation with no easy answers and provoked a great deal of conversation in those seated around me.

A painful, sobering reconstruction of an everyday, recurring trauma and the fractured, splintering reflection that becomes a means of survival.

Bublitz crafts an impeccable, crucial structure to tell this story. The use of the dress is outstanding - it tells us about time and so much about character. A truly thought-provoking piece on consent and rape culture, people should see it.

Powerful, challenging, thought-provoking play. The non-linear timeline creates a layer of doubt that really challenges the audience to reconsider their preconceived notions about the definition of rape, their idea of consent, and the double-standards women face that prevent them from reporting when they know the unthinkable has happened.

This play is so important and resonated profoundly with me as a woman. The brilliant structure keeps the audience on the edge of their seat and fully present in each moment. The crisp and real dialogue is so refreshing. Most importantly to me- this play gets at the truth about sexual assault and the experience of being a woman in the world- the fear, the societal conditioning that our bodies are not our own. It does it in a gripping and visceral manner that begs a radical and transformative discussion about consent.

An important and timely script that haunts the reader/audience member long after the closing image. Bublitz has expertly crafted a #MeToo narrative which robs anyone of the option of rushing too quickly to judgement. Highly recommended not only for production but to foster deep discussion on rape culture, communication, empathy, consent, and culpability.

RIPPED is destined to be one of those “did-you-see-the-same-play-I-did?” experiences as it explores the murky reality of a sexual assault on a college campus. Complex characters with complex emotions and motivations — all of it confused by the consumption of alcohol — make for a rich 90-minute rollercoaster that will likely have audience members of different genders and generations debating and discussing who is culpable, and to what degree. A beautifully calibrated new American play that reflects the sad reality of violence against women in the U.S. Miraculously, this harrowing drama has...

Every second of this play provides new information, and creates a masterfully crafted study on how messy, difficult, and confusing these matters can be. It's heartbreaking to watch Lucy experience mistakes of her own doing and mistakes that are out of her hands. A thoughtful piece on rape culture that left me squirming with discomfort; which I have a feeling is exactly what is intended
