A powerful story about the fight for freedom, empowerment and self discovery that speaks to women everywhere. Well done!

Incredible characters and story about the people we need to hold on to and the things we need to let go. Great roles for women!

What a fantastic script. The Broken Nose Theatre production in Chicago was an inspiring piece of theatre, with incredible roles for some gifted actors. It is impossible not to identify with Halo and her journey. At the end, when her sister asks her to explain why she needs this (MMA training) in her life, you could feel the truth of Halo's answer reverberate through the audience. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

I just saw the Broken Nose production in Chicago. It has simple, elegant storytelling, strong characters and it's exciting, engaging, funny and surprising. Spotswood does a beautiful job of connecting the process of training to be a fighter with the ongoing process of figuring out how to self-advocate in real life. He also shows characters who are fighting to get better, feel better and take better care of one another. This is a hopeful and thoughtfully written play.

I played Gina in the West Coast Premiere of this show, and it was one of the finest theatrical and artistic experiences of my life. Spotswood's dialogue is transcendent and a true gift to the actor/actress.

Excellent, powerful, and timeless journey of self-discovery and what we find when we get there. Great roles for women.

A powerful reminder of the rage and baggage we carry within us from the lives we lead, and the pure joy of letting it go. This play sparks a conversation we (collectively, as a society) need to keep having.

I love this play! I saw this Welders' production in 2016 and was happy to read it and experience its power all over again. This play is immersive, exciting, and emotional. Strong female characters, relatable family dynamics, and thee most satisfying response to the "Be nice/Be polite/Smile" line of advice that many of us have been given.

What a beautiful piece. It offers roles for women that are not only active and complex, but also physically challenging and utterly unique. A fantastic challenge for a director/company interested in deep conversations about gender and power, as well as physically heightened and immersive performances.
