There's so much world-building and character development in this short play, that it's hard to believe it's only 14 pages. I love a melancholic holiday piece--even better when it can end optimistically.

This play made me smile. Smile like not many pieces of entertainment does. Smiles like when I was a kid and it was Christmas day. I'm not kidding! i could say more, or put more eloquent words together, but I think you should you just experience it without much knowledge of it. It's pure joy!

Beautiful like a prayer. It's a play I want to see staged -- and I think you'll agree after reading this. We live in dangerous times, so much cruelty and injustice to make us lonely, depressed and frightened. Wow. Gina Femia has written an absolutely beautiful ten-minute play. I've read "Fly, Baby" several times and each time it tugs at my heart in a different way. Femia has created four real and genuine characters struggling and searching for hope. This play is incredibly relevant and necessary. Read it. Produce it. We need it.
