Recommendations of Memorial Day (Full Length)

  • Rachel Greene: Memorial Day (Full Length)

Through good craft and engaging characters, Memorial Day is a play that successfully manages to ignite compassion in the reader. I was especially interested in the exploration of what the chaos of the AIDS Crisis might have been like for the medical personnel who worked so hard to treat the sick and give dignity to the dying. Vibrant ghosts, love, lust, tough choices, resilience and acceptance... There are some very nice monologues in this piece as well.

  • Bruce Bonafede: Memorial Day (Full Length)

A beautifully crafted, clear-eyed drama on the early days of the AIDS crisis. This play shows how even those lives the disease didn't end were changed forever. Told with wit, dark and surprising humor in the face of tragedy, and a deep heart.
