This play is so interesting! I love a good sci-fi piece, but this was heartwarming and unique. I appreciated the depth of the main character and his hidden sadness that turned to desparation. I just loved his journey that he had to go through, on his own, for 10 minutes. Very good!

This is a very endearing play with a character you can't help but root for and a very powerful message. It is refreshing to see a sci-fi story that uplifts and supports a minority voice instead of using it as a caricature.

Pedro is a man on a mission. A complex man with a complex backstory on supernatural mission. The great humor in this piece is given weight by the underlying political and socioeconomic issues that are hard to ignore. This is fun with a heart and a point.

As this play unfolds, the audience starts to understand that the only appeal that the character has left is to an alien he once saw many years ago. He needs the alien to fix things in his personal life. Diaz-Marcano uses this opportunity to have the character comment on how society is broken and affected by the economic injustices. Both a beautiful and very funny play, Diaz-Marcano has written a lovely piece!

A simple, human approach to an extraordinarily complex social, political, and economic issue. The pathos and comedy are well balanced, and Diaz-Marcano keenly folds in the disparate languages in a fashion that makes it accessible to English-speakers while also highlighting the social implications of the linguistic tension.

A powerful journey as hope helps a man overcome obstacles as circumstances become unreal. Brilliantly done.

So many commented here on the humor, which is evident, but what struck me most was the yearning in Pedro's efforts, the surety that speaking in English would somehow manage that. What emerged was a moving and melancholy allegory for an entire country desperate to be heard.

This beautiful and moving one man show is a gem. Infused with both pathos and comedy, Diaz-Marcano takes what could be an utterly devastating situation and infuses it with hope and humor. This is a play that should be seen on it's feet!
