I saw a reading of this play in 2018 and have read it several times since. It is fast paced, authentic, and clever. It is one of those plays I have really enjoyed revisiting. There's always a new element I've caught onto or have forgotten that it happened. Whether it is due to the hijinks that occur or the truth in the friendship between Mal and Anna, and how easy it seems. I would for sure recommend giving it a read.

This is a fast paced hilarious modern queer sex farce. It’s smart, ridiculous, outrageous, and super queer! I loved this play!

Hilarious, fast moving farce that gets astonishing mileage out of its dozens of gags, but with a wonderful degree of depth that keeps it from being limited to mere entertainment.

This play is just so much fun! Farce is always hard to pull off, but Alice really makes it work, because it's not just the comedy that's moving things along, but characters who are quirky with desires and secrets. I love how the script just keeps barreling along, with laughs and surprises the whole way, while still exploring issues of identity and sexuality.

I can't recommend this play highly enough. It manages to use farce as a genre to create a hilarious and endearing play. Not only is it a brilliant comedy, but it has something to say about queerness in America today. I hope this play receives a full production as soon as possible.

I got to hear this hilarious play at the HBMG Foundation's National Winter Playwrights Retreat and was blown away by the humor and the authenticity of the characters. Although written as a comedy, the play offers a thoughtful and accessible exploration of what it means to understand one's sexual identity. I can't wait to see a full production of this ridiculously delightful play.

Lipstick is the modern queer farce we've all been waiting for. Dynamic roles, laugh-out-loud hilarity, and smart self-aware savvy. And brimming with heart. I cannot wait to see this show fully produced in all its door-slamming glory.

Laughter. Heart. Realness. This play was a knee-slapper with a beautiful message. I look forward to seeing Lipstick on stages around the country.
