Hilarious! I could immediately hear the dialogue in the iconic tone/cadence from the old TV specials. Not to mention how much fun this would be to work on as a costume designer.

It always seemed as though Marcie and Patty would be together if they were allowed to grow up. Hilary Bluestein-Lyons’ comic delight about the lovable Peanuts characters as adults packs a lot of charm and physical humor into 10 minutes. And what seems like a pre-wedding disaster merely confirms how right these two are for each other. I would love to see this staged along with Scott Sickles’ companion piece, Music and God.

I love how this play is composed in split scene, with each bride grappling with how their anticipation of each other’s expectations has caught them in a bind. There’s great humor and heart to Hilary Bluestein-Lyons’ take on these classic, albeit grown up Peanuts characters - “Marcie and Patty Are Getting Married” is a delight!

It keeps getting worse in the funniest of ways until it all ends up the way it's supposed to be. A clever reimagining of classic characters/situations.

A hilarious wedding preparation that just makes you scream! Endearing and well done!

We all hoped Marcie and Peppermint Patty would tie the knot one day. And what a day it turns out to be!

Bleustein-Lyons transforms Marcie, Patty, Sally and Schroder into adults they might actually grow up to be, then thrusts them into a scenario worthy of O. Henry and Feydeau! It all snowballs VERY QUICKLY with great hilarity.

Miraculously, MARRIED doesn't rely on old Peanuts catchphrases and tropes. (Not a single "You Blockhead!" or pulled football.) It's a costume designer's dream and actors will fight over who gets to play who!

You'll want to wrangle an invitation!

This is a great farce filled with physical comedy and misunderstandings, but at the heart of it is a really sweet love story. Hilary Bluestein-Lyons gives us an update to Charlie Brown's gang that's 100% organic and true to the spirit of the original characters.

Bluestein-Lyons' adaptation is joyful and light fare, but in no way should that imply it has less weight or purpose. Even aside from the refreshing existence of an LGBTQ+ relationship in which neither partner dies (spoiler?), it is a lovely, first-rate example of the positive lengths that compromise and thoughtfulness will lead to in communication with your significant other. The physical comedy and hijinks are on point and absolutely delightful, to boot. Wonderfully done.
