  • Emily McClain: Marcie and Patty Are Getting Married

This is a wonderful love-letter to the Peanuts gang, all grown up. Marcie and Patty each want the other to have the most perfect wedding day, while Schroder and Sally are trying their best to help them make that happen. The physical comedy is ever-present, but it never overshadows the love at the "heart" of this play. The ending moments are so satisfying!

As a huge Peanuts fan, I was excited to read this piece. Fast, frantic, and funny - it reads much like a classic sit-com and current rom-com hybrid with lots of physical humor and the side characters stealing their scenes. Great fun!

  • Steven G. Martin: Marcie and Patty Are Getting Married

A romantic comedy that is actually fun and funny!

Audiences and actors will love the physical comedy in this play -- and there is a lot of it! -- but what I especially appreciate is how Hilary Bluestein-Lyons shows Marcie's and Patty's love for one another by how they think of one another's interests while preparing for their wedding. There's an emotional core to this play, which the final line illuminates.

"Marcie and Patty are Getting Married" is a fun design challenge, a crowd pleaser, and a genuinely enjoyable play.

  • Monica Cross: Marcie and Patty Are Getting Married

MARCIE AND PATTY ARE GETTING MARRIED is an adorable RomCom full of laughter and love. Hilary Bluestein-Lyons creates a perfect storm of catastophies which threaten to ruin Marcie and Patty's perfect day, but wine and friends and, most importantly, love prevail!

An absolutely delightful play! A wonderful gift to designers with spilled wine and two ruined wedding dresses.

Do yourself the favor of reading this play!

    Highly Recommended!

I absolutely love Marcie and Patty. And Schroeder. And Sally! What a series of disasters--right before a wedding. This would be outrageous fun to play for four actors who love romps. And I would *love* to direct it!

  • Everett Robert: Marcie and Patty Are Getting Married

MARCIE AND PATTY ARE GETTING MARRIED is a sweet, short play. A wonderfully comedy set 30 minutes before the titular wedding where things (literally) start unraveling. I smiled and laughed from beginning to end. Mazel Tov and Cheers Marcie and Patty and to writer Hilary Bluestein-Lyons.
