Who doesn't love smart, nerdy young women who are 1. allowed to be sexual beings and, 2. about to exact revenge on a jerk!? This play is full of emotionally-fueled, authentic dialogue that speaks to the experience of being a woman in today's weird, half-virtual dating pool. Best of all, at the core of this story is sisterhood and female friendship - without nastiness or competition. These are the kinds of roles that girls want to play - and the kind of roles they deserve! This short is full of laugh-out-loud lines that lead us to a satisfying conclusion! Wonderful!

Great ten-minute two-hander about rejection and vengeance with strong roles for women. I loved being in on Jo and Milly's plan--their dialogue sounds so real and their pain and anger is so relatable, and their ultimately empowering plan is so fun. Well done!

The characters and dialogue in LAST DANCE WITH MJ are so engaging, and Lindsay Partain writes in such an authentic way that I feel as if I'm watching the production as I read. The relationship between the characters is very strong as they both grapple with compassion and hard truths. Rejection and revenge have never been sweeter or this enjoyable.

This play is great for two actresses in their late teens/early twenties. I love the way Lindsay subtly breaks the sorority girl stereotype and gives us characters that are funny, witty, and powerful.

Partain’s revenge-comedy gives you the slings and arrows of zingers. Yes, dating is treacherous, maddening, sexy, lustful and filled with traps. What’s the answer? Build a better trap. And you watch in delight as the characters do so.

Modern, fun, all too relatable. A great play for young women and a nostalgic one for us sorority gals!
