Partain has in this play the equivalent of a nice breeze on a hot summer day. Quick, it got my attention, it made me feel better, and when done, I wish there was more.

Hilarious and engaging, Partain's dialogue crackles with truisms -- the technology changes, but the Dating Game remains as rife with challenges as ever. The ease with which Partain delivers the story arc belies the artful structure of the work. This play is a playground for a creative team.

This is a ten-minute Lysistrata for the Tinder age, done with deft and no-holds-barred wit. Lindsay Partain nails the characters without resorting to stereotyping, and woe betide any wannabe superhero who crosses them...they know how to swipe back.

Men -- particularly young men -- be very afraid: The two young women in this stinging comedy are on to your BS, and you'll be sorry you ever messed with either of them. This wonderful, laugh-out-loud romp through the Tinder scene and its occasional horrors will make you feel the angst, anger, and delicious joy of revenge as our heroines realize the super-hero look-alike one of them dated turns out to be a lot less than super. Guaranteed fun.

Viciously smart and wonderfully charming, Partain takes the rage that comes with modern dating and plays it to a marvelous hilt. The characters here are razor sharp, as is the dialogue, but it’s the honesty that shines through the most. These two wonderful characters scream with such an authentic voice that it’s impossible to pull away from their struggles in a world that would rather ghost you than engage with you. Oh, and it’s laugh-out-loud funny on top of everything else.

This laugh-out-loud comedy about two best friends devising some well-deserved Tinder revenge is fresh, funny, and well-worth a read. If your theater needs a sexy and smart spearing of how awful online dating is (and which theater doesn't?), this is the play for you.

So much fun! The dialogue is sharp, breathlessly hilarious, and real. I love this portrait of women navigating modern dating, and dealing with modern (or classic...?) men. And the fact that one of them is a "nerd girl" is so great. More of all of this, please!

Just as wickedly funny and sharp-tongued as she is, "Last Dance with MJ" comes out with vibrancy and life and, as is always true with Partain, these characters fling themselves wildly off of the page and demand that you listen to the things they have to say about men in society, the power given to each gender, and how women will do whatever it takes to end up on top. These are the female characters we need to see, written by a female voice we need to hear.

Revenge was never more hilarious. Lindsay Partain takes us through the world of online dating and the perfect revenge to ghosting. With a wonderful flow of dialogue that feels like it could be an actual conversation transcript, this play will have you rolling around laughing and wondering about your own online dating habits and what kind of karma you can expect for yourself. The one-liners are wonderful, and the imagery used will have you engaged through and through. Read this play for a laugh attack.
