A very original piece that is a powerful example of Malakhow's ability to create complex and deep characters. I have never seen a play use the sense of smell so much in a piece and Malakhow does it in a truly authentic unforced way. It's a tender tale that circles theses of co-dependency and genuine growth. Jason and Robbie have such unique takes on the world and continued to keep me engaged. I would really like to see this in person, as I think it would pop on stage.

Malakhow has written an authentic, sharp, and quiet portrayal of modern love. SEEING EYE takes the reader by the hand and leads us through an exploration of our inner lives and how “what we see” oftentimes leads us astray from what the truth really is. The play is a beautiful journey in how adaptability and resilience are shining lights that help us find our way through the darkness. I love this play!

I am so in love with “Seeing Eye”, particularly with the way Malakhow seeds his story and unfolds his characters. With Malakhow as poet and pilot, the irrepressible Jason hooks his fingers between yours and leads you into a budding (and at times bruising) romance where flowers may smell of almond extract and scars can be heard if you listen closely enough. Malakhow's definitely earned a place on my short list of favorite playwrights. I’m looking forward to reading and seeing more of his work.

Beautiful play that is very moving! It's hard to stop reading this play. I love the way Malakhow uses Jason's sense of smell to show us how he experiences the world and in particular Robbie. Seeing Eye provides us a strong understanding of two distinct relationships as they transform.

A beautiful, tender, love story surrounding three dimensional characters and several complicated and carefully crafted conversations. Keep your tissues close by.

A lovely, gentle, delicate play about what it means to see one another - and to see ourselves.

A fascinating take on beauty through the eyes of someone who can’t see, self-worth, and self reliance. Great characters and natural dialogue, full of vivid imagery and emotion. Wonderful.

I love the way that both this play and its protagonist, Jason, are gentle without losing any assertiveness. Even in their moments of misunderstanding and anger, each character has care for the others--of course that's not a necessity for any play, but it's a beautiful part of humanity that I appreciate Malakhow's choice to depict. I loved the journey that SEEING EYE took me on and would love even more to experience a production!

A tender, delicately wrought exploration of intimate bonds both romantic and familial. Manages to surprise and subvert without sacrificing subtlety of language or storytelling. Absolutely lovely. Please produce.

A sweet, tender play about codependency and how we're all struggling to to keep it together-even if you can't see someone's scars. I really appreciated the honesty and that this WASN'T a perfect strangers to lovers kind of story.
