An absolutely hilarious play about gender dynamics in and out of the bedroom! Full disclosure: I oversaw the development of this piece as the co-lead of Broken Nose Theatre's Paper Trail new-play series, and to watch the script grow into what it is now has been a thrill. The questions Liam asks here are uncomfortable and brazen and completely necessary. There's a level of vulnerability here (for both character and actor) that makes it immensely exciting. I had the pleasure of directing a workshop of this play for Broken Nose Theatre. This play is everything I love about theatre: funny, sexy, and moving all at the same time. A great two-hander that explores a couple fighting for love and great sex. Can we ever really be "just a couple"? Or will our social conditioning infect all parts of our lives - even the bedroom? Liam's written a play that is equally comfortable asking provocative, probing questions and jokes about getting hit in the face with a dildo. Produce this play!
