Wow. This play left me shaken and excited and sad and fired up. Endlessly engaging, THE WOLF YOU FEED is hypnotic. The language is tight as a drum, and the characters are gorgeous. Surreal, musical, fantastical, and full of rage, this play is exactly what I always want to see onstage.

THE WOLF YOU FEED is everything--mysterious and sexy and dangerous and life-affirming. Darcy Parker Bruce has always infused the mundane with magic, and this play is no different. A seedy motel gives way to the forest around it; a woman gives way to the wildness within her. I love how this play is a reverse Pygmalion--how it's about transitioning away from our humanity and embracing the animal within. And there's more than a little nod to Sendak in here to give me Easter Egg goosebumps. PRODUCE THIS PLAY!

I had the pleasure of hearing a partial reading of this and was so excited that I went and read the rest. It's a wonderfully theatrical play with some really fascinating characters (including wolves!) that expertly balances humor with the darker subject matter of its main character's story. It's a totally engrossing play and I would love to see this on stage.
