Black and white. Gray - oh those gray areas. Middaugh finds the gray area and delves into it. When do you compromise? Why do you compromise? An incisive look at how the world spins round in shades of gray with a welcome dose of humanity.

I had a great time seeing this play read at the William Inge Theatre Festival. A captivating piece about the secrets a city will hide. Highly recommend!

This fascinating little play skillfully puts its two characters at odds and forces some heart-wrenching compromises. I had the pleasure of seeing a reading at the 2024 Inge Festival, and it was great!

A two-hander with a ticking clock, featuring a man and a woman in a uncomfortable situation. It's a play we've all seen before. But Susan Middaugh's Skeletons in the Cellar riffs on this in a unique and special way with edge of the seat tension, commentary, and a beautiful ending.

Middaugh has created a great script with lots of tension and that sense of ticking clock urgency that makes this play something special. A unique plot, realistic dialogue and a commentary on gentrification, SKELETONS IN THE CELLAR is a perfect choice for a 10 minute play festival!

What an interesting, complex, and beautiful play! In the span of ten minutes, Playwright Middaugh takes us on a journey through corruption, bribery, and ultimately, humanity. Having been raised Jewish, I loved the surprise at the end. I love plays that keep us thinking long after they are over, and this one fits the bill perfectly. Kudos to Susan Middaugh for a play filled with surprises, taut language, and timely situations.
