KARA EMILY KRANTZ spoke to me in a profound way in her full-length masterpiece, “inValidated”. We’ve all heard how men don’t understand woman. A man becomes his own hero, as the provider of food and shelter, but he too often takes in and ‘understands’ what’s happening only through his eyes. A woman is ‘too emotional’ or ‘ungrateful’ if she tries to tell her male partner something about HER NEEDS. This is an awesome play, and I wholeheartedly recommend it. BRAVO!

inValidated spoke to me on so many levels. On what it's like to be a woman. What it's like to be a daughter. What it's like to be betrayed by a partner/parent/sibling. The broken family dynamics and constant gaslighting are almost as painful for us to endure as it is for Katherine. The meta-aspect and spoken word devices provided a fresh sense of theatricality and innovation. Beautifully crafted.

inValidated is theatrical in its essence with language is compelling and beautifully crafted. It’s engaging, intense, and filled to the brim with pain and anger. The ending is especially strong and gave me a palpable sense of closure. It would make for a powerful evening of theatre!
