This is a play with seemingly all animal characters. A wolf, rabbit, crow, and a flower join forces to save their Homeland and bring back their families without the help of humans. It starts off as a darkly comedic tale, but ends on a note of hope that seeks to redeem the species it has been largely cynical about the whole time: humans. The audience is truly an integral character of this play and its the call to action at the end for humans to fight for a better world is powerful.

Some unlikely characters come together to tell a story and try to stop the devastation of the Homeland before it's too late. But how to communicate with our human neighbors when -- for all our "big brains" -- we're all just too busy trying to stay alive? The metaphors of this piece are beautifully crafted and the urgency of climate change punctuated by tragically beautiful sound effects. I especially appreciated the authorial voice of Clem: "If the story goes to the dark side, we're all doomed." Brava, playwright. I hope it's not too late.
