STEVEN G. MARTIN delivers a wonderful short glimpse of an affair of two married women, but he does it in a way that has a tremendous emotional impact with his one-minute play, “Comfort”.

Sweet, sad, and all too real. Rich characters in a longing dance, and in two short pages. Martin squeezes so much depth and feeling out of just a few lines of dialogue. Beautiful.

Martin is a laudably laconic playwright, capable of composing textured characters and indelible storylines in a mere minute. An enviably exquisite feat.

Martin allows us yet another beautiful glimpse into his characters' lives with COMFORT. I wanted more and more, but cruelly, like the women in this play, I am only allowed a short bit of it.

A glimpse of heartbreak in one minute. Martin finds the honesty in every situation.

So much I want to know about these two, mysterious women - Helen and Margaret. Martin packs in an entire, untold history in this one-minute play, while at the same time conveying so much.

A perfectly perfect one minute scene masterfully crafted for maximum impact. My heart aches for these lovely ladies, living the best way they can. This is such a beautiful snapshot.

Wow. Martin is a great writer, no doubt about that, but I was not expecting a one-minute play to evoke so many feelings. This was a beautiful snapshot.
