I admit I wasn't sure I knew what the conceit of the exchange was between "Darrell" and Jane at first. Like anything noir-ish, I was always on the lookout for clues; anything dropped beyond articles of clothing. But when the veil was finally lifted, I got it. Cute piece with heart.

This play is unhinged in the best possible way. The physical comedy is outrageous, the deadpan delivery is lethal, and the worldbuilding is so specific it feels like a cult I accidentally joined. I laughed out loud more than once, and I don’t do that easily. If you want a short play that lets actors go absolutely feral while still being tightly structured and smart as hell, this is it.
