  • Ken Love: I LOVE A PARADE, a 10-minute dystopian political drama

With a nod to Kafka & Harold Pinter ("One For The Road"), Arianna Rose has crafted a parable for our time. Were it not for the current socio/polical dilemma, I would not have found it so unnerving.

  • Robert Weibezahl: I LOVE A PARADE, a 10-minute dystopian political drama

This is a stunning work (in both senses of the word). Rose mixes dystopian tropes and historical realities from past fascist eras with Brechtian assuredness. A grave warning in our disturbing times that will leave audiences troubled, thinking, and galvanized. Produce this play!

  • Jeffrey James Keyes: I LOVE A PARADE, a 10-minute dystopian political drama

Rose's powerful and poignant political drama is daring and well crafted. It really builds on some nightmares of the past while exploring innate concerns many of us harbor in contemporary times. Arianna's writing, and dialogue in particular, is skillful and fearless. Excellent work.

  • Karen Saari: I LOVE A PARADE, a 10-minute dystopian political drama

This gripping short piece feels all too real in our current political climate. Deftly written, this play has a perfect balance of tension, pain and fragility in its plot and characters. If you want a short piece that packs a swift and powerful punch, this is it. Bravo!

  • Jennifer O'Grady: I LOVE A PARADE, a 10-minute dystopian political drama

I love Arianna Rose's plays which are always thought-provoking, theatrical and full of emotional power. I LOVE A PARADE is a heart-wrenching and chilling dystopian play that feels shockingly real given our current political horrors, but it also feels real because Rose is such a skillful writer--in ten taut pages Rose has given us an entire world represented by the play's characters and the deeply disturbing events that have happened--and are about to happen-- to them. This is an important play for our time and I hope it sees many productions.

What an eerie meditation on a dystopian future and on the horror of narcissism in the midst of tragedy.
The poignant histories painted by Eric, Mary and L.B. are moving and unsettling. Lisette is a frivolous and benign seeming monster. Their interactions and fates will continue to haunt me.

  • Jack Levine: I LOVE A PARADE, a 10-minute dystopian political drama

This 10-minute play will really grip the audience with the terror of what might become of our society someday. As an actor, I love the possibilities of playing one of the roles. As a playwright, I marveled at the depth of many layers in such a short, but meaningful piece.

A haunting play with imagery that will make you feel like you've stepped into a dream. It is eerie and deeply unsettling, and will leave you thinking about it long after the play is done.
