I can see why Tracy Jones is getting production after production! Not only is the humor spot-on and laugh-out-loud funny, but the pacing and arc are extraordinary. I love the way it lives in madcap zaniness until it suddenly becomes a beautiful reflection on loneliness. What's so wonderful, though, is that it manages to be both farcical and affecting while somehow maintain a singular and cohesive tone from beginning to end. Kaplan manages to walk this very fine tonal line with grace and skill.
