This play is fast paced and full of physical comedy. But it sure does sneak up on you with the emotions! The need to connect and belong is universal. Not just limited to women with the name Tracy Jones! Each character has the opportunity to shine all over this messy party room and audiences will be grateful for the invite. At least they don't have to clean up afterwards! I love the dialogue of this piece!

It was a true pleasure and honor to be part of the RWP of TRACY JONES. I loved the script from the first read and collaborating with Stephen during the process helped lear to an even stronger script. The play is a fantastic blend of humor and heart and will really get your audiences thinking as well. Don't be intimidated by all the food and spills, etc. They are pretty easy to manage with planning. Please consider staging TRACY JONES. You will not regret it!

An equally comic and poignant handling of a very real struggle. Dynamic, relatable characters are cleverly drawn in a fast-paced, well-balanced script on a very creative premise!

I love how much time and specificity Kaplan takes w/the opening sequence. I had a palpable sense of how long Tracy has been waiting and how much it is costing her, so that there is a world of waiting alone that I was relating to by the time the others show up. Such a great attention to detail amid all the farcical elements, the physical comedy and the language play! But the best parts are the monologues, so revealing and moving! Succor -- great work!

I read this show as a dramaturg and it offers us so many excellent details and events to keep audiences on their toes and engaged. This is so heartwarming and heartbreaking and I think it is just a solid piece of theatre.

A great heartwarming play filled with endearing characters, an engaging premise, a lot of laughs, and a lot of dramatic moments that took me by surprise. A single, simple set and a small cast make this an easy to produce play that we all need right now. Well done!

A terrific statement of the state of loneliness and the need to connect that gets to the core of the matter with humor and heart. Well done.

Oh my heart! This is one of the funniest, most endearing scripts I’ve read in a long time. Kaplan’s work serves up wonderful word play with fantastic physical humor, all while cutting to the heart of human loneliness. Highly recommended!

What a perfect play to produce right now. We are all feeling disconnected from our lives and trying to connect over the internet and through social media, desperate for something real. Kaplan uses his whip-fast dialogue and pacing to control the audience and lull them into a false sense of ease. He wants you to laugh out loud at these characters, but don't get too comfortable. You will laugh as hard as you ache.

This is a fantastic piece of comedic drama with just the right amount of cringe. Not only does Kaplan teach us about the history of the buffalo wing, but he gives us a hilarious and poignant musing on the nature of loneliness and our need for genuine connection (as well as far we might go in order to find it). Continuously surprising and constantly funny, it is a piece that demands a production. Don’t skip this party.
