This is a 10 that keeps you on your toes -- full of conflict, a down-to-earth (literally!) sibling rivalry, theatrical use of props and a set of turns that will have you gasping. Would love to see this on its feet!

This play reminds me of a Shakespeare quote: "Neither a borrower or lender be". Busser gives us a comedic yet realistic portrayal of a strained sisterhood. Conflict and tension rule in this fast-paced 10 minute play. Can't wait to see SOMETHING BORROWED on the stage!

Ohh...this is good and creepy. Perfect for a night of short plays.

A disturbing, enigmatic play concentrating on intense sibling rivalry over a stolen lover and stolen objects. Each sister finds a way to express her jealousy and love-hate towards the other by "borrowing" things she has no intention of giving back. And there's one, creepy, totally unexplained object that I won't reveal, but which suggests a boundary beyond which the play itself doesn't cross.

John’s “Something Borrowed” has a theme most of us (normal, responsible people) can identify with. The pains of items borrowed (sometimes without permission) only to end in the land of “Sock Mates”. Borrowed is sharp, witty and very clever. This type of writing / reading gives me inspiration to rise to a higher level. Great work!

  • John Kelly: Something Borrowed...

An intriguing tale of two women - sisters - who share... a great deal. Busser certainly has a gift for writing dialogue. The play moves crisply and strikingly to its unexpected conclusion. Most enjoyable.
