Writing suspense is one of the most difficult things to do--especially in a play--and Rosa nailed it. I thought it was a good idea to read this after midnight and I was wrong. Thanks for the nightmares, Rosa! The rich, interesting characters with firm rooted beliefs create even more drama than the ghosts.

Rosa Fernandez’s 'A Skeptic and a Bruja,' is a page turner from the get-go! Immediately intrigued with her characters dialogue and the story line that brings them together in an old house makes for an enjoyable, spine tingling ride. A topical play that deals with death, skillfully brought to us with a Latinx point of view, is a must read for production possibilities!

In real life, I tend to lean more towards the skeptic route, but this script had me believing and wanting to tell the characters, "Get out of the house!" Good job creating a spooky atmosphere and questioning what it means to believe and to doubt.

Rosa Fernandez, wow. This play had me on the edge of my seat and greedily reading each page. It spoke to the skeptic and believer in me. She has written a play of suspense and one that I would love to see produced!
