Wow! This astounding piece totally took me by surprise. Rincon develops an exquisitely specific, well-defined, and fantastical theatrical world and language here. Microscopically-observed naturalism is placed beside profound lyrical poetry to excellent effect! Rincon illuminates the reasons we hold ourselves and each other back from love using both lush visual and verbal metaphor and realistic intimate scenes. I was laughing through a great deal of this and then pretty shamelessly tearing up on public transit in the final 20 pages. I sincerely hope to see this produced someday! What a privilege it would be.

This play is pure magic, bursting to the brim with a hilarity, wit and affection that'd make any persons heart fly out of their chest into this universe and the next.

This script absolutely slaps! Theatre like this must be a dream to work on or watch!

A fantasia about the nature of love and how it transcends time and space. A reclamation of vulnerability, tenderness and passion for people of color in pain. A wonderful set of opportunities for designers, choreographers, and actors. Rincón has written an incredibly visual play that makes the internal external and will fill your entire stage with the beauty of human connection.

Relentlessly funny, tender, and ridiculous, Rincon manages to tell a love story that both will have you yearning for romance and scratching your head about why we fall for it. His skill to make the absurdist parts of our life into magical moments is one that makes him a unique talent to watch. Wish we had more romantic comedies this epic and beautiful.

This play is a gorgeous love fantasy with smart dialogue. I saw a reading of it and was held captivated from beginning to end. Cupid slung her angst filled arrow at me and I fell in love. A love story that's truly out of this world! We rarely see heartbreak from queer POC characters, and the ability to fight and search for that love. Andrew is a truly gifted writer.

I had the privilege of hearing this play on Parsnip Ship and was captivated by a world filled with queer people of color whose love is normalized. Andrew has crafted a story that made me laugh and cry and ache. I cannot wait to see this on stage and know the world is a more beautiful place because of the stories that Andrew is creating.
