What a wonderful opportunity for two actors to explore impending doom and what kind of reactions that would coax out of them. Darkly funny and suspenseful.

We all know how we're supposed to face imminent annihilation: all hugs and forgiveness for whatever lingering grievances we may have with our loved ones. Marcia Eppich-Harris skewers that notion beautifully with ALOHA APOCALYPSE. Anyone who's ever been in an intense situation with their long-term significant other should be able to relate to the feeling of "Oh my God! Can I not even die in a nuclear blast correctly for you?" that she serves up. Dark, profound, and hilarious!

If there's a lesson to be learned from this dark yet funny two hander is that it's better to have sex than talk when faced with an imminent apocalypse!
No doubt in such a situation we will be overwhelmed with so many emotions, but it's the distance from our loved ones which must hurt the most. A great play!

A thematically compelling and relevant piece, "Aloha Apocalypse" does well to capture a brief moment that captures an immense wave of emotions. Between the impeccable pacing and the nice blank palette for actors, this is a fantastic piece that can be interpreted in a number of ways. If you are looking for a selection to perform with a partner, this scene is a perfect practice in building an arc and notating beats.

I was living on O'ahu in January of 2018 and remember well the terror and anxiety the nuclear alert caused. I can see how that fear would have prompted an extreme reaction for Ed, but one that would have enduring consequences for his post-false alarm life. This is certainly a credible and compelling portrait of two people dealing with terrifying and unexpected circumstances.

We produced this piece in an outdoor 10-minute play festival and it is absolutely brilliant! Marcia is incredible to work with and her dialogue jumps off the page. We highly recommend working with this playwright and her work.

If we only had minutes left....a delightful and funny but also harrowing look at a couple and the "tragic" push of an outside force, forcing change. Super pace, dialogue, physical action... Love the open-ended, non-ending of it all!

Ripped from the headlines, as they say, and a situation that is becoming more frighteningly possible. A middle-aged couple wakes up to learn that their Hawaii vacation, and everything they know could be ended by an incoming ballistic missile. Marcia Eppich-Harris has put two fairly ordinary characters in an extraordinary situation. Farewells are recorded, confessions made, and oops! Now what? Plenty of tension and comic interludes fill this ten-minute triumph.
