I saw this as a staged reading at the Midwest Dramatists Conference and loved the levity that Katherine Vondy has infused into a frightening contemporary premise - an app that reveals what's in your soul. Vondy has done a great job of infusing this comedy with disquieting moments, along with brilliant characters that juxtapose the disquiet with upbeat, professional chatter. Loved it!

A fun little play that is very scary to know that its evil app is probably being contemplated by some soulless tech bro as the follow-up to AI. In the reading I saw at the Midwest Dramatist Center, Dome was played with such a benign cheerfulness that made his sociopathic words even more chilling. A wonderful play that is very much in the now.

This play is full of unexpected dialogue, loaded with comedy. Don't be deceived by the seemingly light banter between these two quirky characters. They come out with ideas that will really make you think! The Drums makes insightful comments about technology and humanity, all in a way that will keep you laughing. And it's super beautiful that these roles can be played by any age, gender, or race!
