A really great funny play. I love how the fridge serves as all sorts of different metaphors and at the heart of this play is a story about appreciating what you have in life. Well-written with great dialogue. This is the kind of play that stays with you!

Another lovely play from Jennifer O'Grady that cuts right to the heart of a situation we can all recognize: hanging on to something for some reason - stubbornness, fear, habit - but not really being able to articulate why you can't quite do it. It's enough to make you scream. Scream. The fridge is such a lovely character, so sweet and eager to please, but completely baffled as to why it never quite works right. In the end, this speaks to anyone who's ever cared for someone despite (or because of?) their flaws. Great stuff.

Like all relationships, we all have our trying times with a partner, when it seems like things just aren't working out. And in those times, some of us turn... to the fridge. So it must be a cruel cut indeed when even the trusty icebox lets us down. In this funny and all too human play by Jennifer O'Grady, we see the breaking up, the advice from friends (or repairmen), the doubt, the acceptance and, if we're lucky, a reconciliation. All this and more awaits you with this great little play!

What a funny play! I really enjoyed the humor, and as a metaphor for how broken we are, this play works on so many levels. The evolution of the relationship between the repairmen was also surprising and fun.

I know O'Grady writes with insight and empathy — And this one shows her humorous chops, too! Hilarious! I'd love to see the character FRIDGE onstage. So many possibilities for staging, with dialogue that just sparkles. Someone should produce a whole evening of plays about major appliances ASAP!

I absolutely love this play. It's smart, funny, and witty. The Fridge as a character is absolutely adorable and it makes me want to hug my own appliance. I would love to see this staged. It's one of those plays you didn't know needed to exist until it plopped in your lap and then you feel like, oh, of course. Another fantastic play from a tremendously versatile playwright. I'm such a huge O'Grady fan!
