In the delightful "A Midsummer Night's Slam", Arianna Rose offers us both fun and feminist critique using the very Shakespearian approach of borrowing a story and making it her own. While William suggested a forest in which anyone could find love with anyone, Arianna realizes that vision. Perhaps, in a sequel, we'll learn what becomes of Bottom and Puck ... until then, enjoy this offering.

"A Midsummer Night's Slam" offers a refreshing take on a classic story, infusing it with modern themes and perspectives. The language is a blend of contemporary dialogue and poetic expression, creating a unique and engaging atmosphere. The character development is commendable, particularly in the way Hermia and Helena defy expectations and choose their own path.

This is a good play! It's quick and enjoyable for anyone who does or doesn't know their Shakespeare (and Ancient Greek poetry). One does imagine how different many of Shakespeare's plays would be if the characters all acted on the same-sex sexual tension present.

There’s nothing like a Shakespearean romp in the woods to lift your spirits! But now there’s Arianna Rose’s delightful spoof which will leave you in stitches! Wonderful roles for three female actors. This short play has a rich history of success, and there is every reason to believe that will continue!

A must read for all Shakespeare fans! As a former Hermia, this play brings a whole new fresh breath of life into a play I already adore. It leads me to wonder where Sappho was during Twelfth Night!! Brilliant!

Well, now I want Sappho to intervene in all of Shakespeare’s romances! This is a fun, funny play that perfectly subverts the expectations of loyal Shakespearean fans. I want to see more of the trio of characters represented here as they adventure through the familiar terrain of Midsummer dreams.

I have a special place in my heart for A Midsummer Night's Dream. Arianna Rose captures the comedy of the original piece, while breathing a new, and queer, life into it. Sappho brings in the Puck-like banter and meta theatricality. Helena and Hermia's relationship is melodramatic and quite funny. A Midsummer Night's Slam is a clever romp in one of Shakespeare's most memorable worlds.

This is a damn hoot and a joy: Hermia and Helena from A Midsummer Night's Dream are lost in the woods and encounter Sappho, whose hilarious, droll, and decidedly Sapphic guidance shows them a way out of their messy romantic entanglements with the boys. The dialogue is sharp and hilarious - a throwaway joke about pockets made me bark-laugh, and did I detect a Sondheim reference? - and the whole vibe left me smiling and giving quiet little fist-pumps. A delight.

I simply love this send up of A Midsummer's Night's Dream, so much fun! Although a parody it still keeps and holds the Shakespeare whimsy throughout. Great fun!

SOOOOO much fun. Lovely take on classic themes. Love breaks conventions, conquers all, with an awesome punchline at the end.
