  • Kim E. Ruyle: Climbing the Corporate Bladder

Another hilarious, wacky short from John Busser. Oh, the degradation imposed by the climb up the corporate ladder at the Harry Johnson Company! Enough to cause Willie to shrink with revulsion and leave it to little Peters to take the bull by the horns. This play will have the audience in stitches!

When I am giggling at just the list of character names, I know I am in for a good time. But I already knew I was in for a good time when I read the author's name. John Busser has once again given us a wacky situation in a familiar setting. And since it's the bathroom, I was laughing my immature butt off the whole time. There is so much room for physical comedy in this piece on top of the potty puns. So much fun!

  • Toby Malone: Climbing the Corporate Bladder

John Busser is right on the money once again with this sharp, snappy short that manages to both be filled with ribald puns and absurd situations while also maintaining a dignity befitting the corporate hierarchy. From the character names to the situation, where corporate underlings are ranked by importance based on the urinal they are allowed to use, and only when the boss's stream is going, to the truly Monty Python-esque notion of urine flowing for minutes on end, this is a riot from start to finish.

  • Maximillian Gill: Climbing the Corporate Bladder

Busser’s satirical wit is particularly sharp in this short play. The piece skewers corporate cage match culture with some extremely apt bathroom-related metaphors and lets us know in no uncertain terms that big business’s only tangible contribution is waste for others to clean up. Also, you may think you’re climbing up the ladder, but at the end of the day you’re just standing there awkwardly holding a more powerful person’s ****.
