Oh no! Is this really the future if Facebook, sadly I think so!
Kelly has written a fun, slick short play here, full of morbid wit.
This would be lots of fun to stage!

A gem of a play with an all-ages intergenerational appeal. The rarest of short scripts--one that would be equally at home in a night of hip ten-minute plays at a university, or staged as a thought provoking one-act at a community theatre.

As more and more folx I know are dead and still on FB, this touched so many nerves and had me in stitches! Because of course we have to laugh at this -- or else! Closedbook is hilarious and necessary. I love the world-building and the admin nightmare and the shift. Strange in the best way!

The description of this play drew me in and the play did more than meet my expectations! The idea in itself is brilliantly executed with dialogue that leads the audience to discovery from the very beginning. In a world where social media can take over our lives, its a funny (and slightly terrifying) thought of it taking over our afterlives as well but Kelly has brilliantly explored this bizarre concept in a way that is sure to have any audience in stitches.

At first I was hooked by the premise, but suddenly the characters were making me smile, after that some really clever humor got me laughing out loud, and THEN the real brains behind this interaction showed themselves. This play was like an onion, revealing a new layer almost with every page. I loved it.

I was drawn to this play because I dabble in sci-fi plays myself. Then I was drawn into it by, amongst many other reasons, Kelly McBurnette-Andronicos' use of Midwest idioms. (Yeah, No.) This is a fun, quick play that answers the burning question: Is there internet after death?

A hilarious tale where all those who've passed will be managed via Facebook! So funny and perfect for Halloween!

This short gem is laugh-out-loud funny with an undercurrent of poignance. And it has so much room for flexibility in the style a production could take. The play stands alone, but its premise is compelling enough that it could be just the gateway into a longer work or an ongoing series. I want more Nos!!!!

I love admin-inspired comedy. Almost as much as I love SUPERNATURAL admin comedy!!! This has that in spades!

What begins as a very funny situation not only evolves into something else even funnier, it explodes in hilarious and unexpected ways! That the play manages to satirize so many things so quickly and still maintain, and even strengthen, its premise, narrative and humor is a miracle to behold. A total hoot!

I bust out laughing twice reading this play. Kelly McBurnette-Andronicos has a talent for infusing the macabre into everything. She has done it again with this little gem CLOSEDBOOK. It's a play that leaves you guessing and wondering until the very end and approaches subjects like artificial intelligence, hacking, and death with such aplomb and imagination that you can't help but congratulate the playwright.
