A really funny and unique concept! I thoroughly enjoyed the fast paced read. The comedy still lived through the tough and dramatic circumstances and the ending brought it together beautifully!

This play was picked blindly - I just wanted to read some Vince Gatton. How lucky was I! Gatton has given us a situation most of us know - two siblings - one needy and overlaid it with something out of left field - so you can't help but laugh as it gets clearer and clearer (and you are glad you are not one of the siblings) - Well written and a lot of fun!

I tried not to read the other comments or tags on this play before taking a look and I'm so glad I didn't! What a fun play. I love the curveballs Gatton packs into this punch of a play and the interweaving of realism and vampire horror, it makes perfect sense for the time we're currently living in. I really hope theatres start producing evenings of short plays by this talented dramatist, I'd be the first to stand in line for a ticket. Well done, maestro.

What a ride this was! Gatton is a skillful playwright who has mastered the art of drawing in his readers attention and then hitting them with an unexpected twist that surely will leave any audience in Shock for the rest of the piece! This is a great short piece and one I hope to see performed one day!

Gatton moves naturally from a toilet paper shortage to a seemingly clueless sibling’s questions on protocol to something wholly unnatural—never missing a beat. I came across this play performed by the author and Mirande Jonte on “Back Porch Theater”. A ten minutes well spent!

Siblings will always provide great fodder for drama. Saw this very funny and touching play performed by the author and Mirande Jonte on Back Porch Theater! Well done all around, the performances and the script!

Gatton takes a baseball bat and runs amok with our emotions. By turns funny and horrifying, this gem is ultimately a heartbreakingly beautiful delineation of a sibling relationship in which each sibling has the other’s back, and the wherewithal to do what needs to be done. All the feels.

I find that the best sci-fi and fantasy takes us just far enough outside of reality to shake up our expectations but still grounds fantastical events in the realities of human relationships. This short piece fulfills the criteria in the best way. Gatton's characteristic dry wit is present throughout, but human grief enters the situation in a way that feels natural and urgent and very relevant to our time. A skillful and engaging play.

Oh my GOD. Once again, Vince Gatton commingles everyday life with extraordinary horror, this time of the supernatural genre; the result is gorgeous humanity in unanticipated circumstances. His dialogue is natural and smacks of that sibling vernacular that those with brothers and sisters know oh so well. Even- especially- in the silences and beats, While the conditions of the world that Shon and Ari inhabit are kill or be zombified, at its heart this is a love story of understanding and alliance between siblings. And I freaking love it.

At first I thought I knew exactly where this show was going. I have never been more delighted in being wrong. This play packs a punch. It starts with a call from one family member to another about quarantine protocols and then goes in a completely different direction. This is a dark dramedy that hits all of the right horror buttons.
