This play took me places I didn't expect to go, and that's a wonderful gift. A love story wrapped in an intervention wrapped in a mystery. I loved this, and I'd love to see it on stage.

This is my second recommendation of this fine play, this time it has yet deeper meaning to me. Standing on the shore of a lake, Andrew is lost, desperate, suicidal. Along come Ophelia, an angel of death to flash his life before him. But what ensues is far deeper, as the tables turn, the water darkens and deepens...
This would make an excellent radio drama.

A really lovely interlude between two characters who need a hug from someone who cares. The back and forth is perfect, and both Ophelia and Andrew somehow charm you despite their pain. A play with compassion and kindness, and a touching short work for two lucky actors.

There are some plays you read that will leave you feeling torn between your emotions and Deeper is certainly one of them. I felt a lot like Morey who said he read it twice and the first time he smiled and the other time he cried. it's that good at pulling out both emotions and in the end, we all want to be like Andrew when it the end comes, just having someone we love close-by to ease that transition and to know we were at least loved a little during our time on earth!

I read this twice. The first time I smiled. The second time I cried. DEEPER has the wonderful breezy banter that Jacquie Floyd-Priskorn does so well. But it’s also infused with a darkness, a feeling of uncertainty. The allusion to Hamlet and our sense of free will to change our life or end it will have a profound effect on audiences. But Jacquie also presents us with hope. That whatever path we choose, it’s better if we have someone to hold our hand along the way. A lovely play that I would want to see several times.

"Deeper" is a fabulous piece where all the way through you think you know where the story is going and every time you are spun in a different direction. Jacquelyn has taken what is a dark moment for most people and laced it with humour complete with a touching moment about human connection. We always think about the influence people have on our lives but this brilliant piece makes you think about the influence people have over our deaths. Jacquelyn constructs two wonderfully unique characters and intertwines their stories in a wonderful and emotional way.

What happens when a meet cute might just be the end of it all? This is a great short with wonderful characters who embody a natural sense of awkward meetings, dark feelings, and the desperation of solitude. Funny and sad, wise and fresh, I enjoyed it immensely.

I totally enjoyed this play, Deeper, right up my street. It is very well constructed, I can clearly see it being played out and the ending was not as I expected, which I love! This has left me with so many questions, I may well read it again! Wonderful play!

A play that, on the surface (pun intended), looks like a darkly comic take on death, but actually takes on more weighty topics like free will and making decisions that will better us as people, instead of staying in a bad situation. Jacquie Floyd-Priskorn always writes deeper (again, pun intended) that you think, and this play will stay with you long after you've read it, of better yet, seen it performed.

DEEPER is the type of play that sits with you. It's a beautiful story with unexpected twists – an inspiring and funny two-hander about a dark topic. Change and free will are at the center of Andrew and Ophelia's situation. This witty show with fantastic characters will shine on stage and is sure to deliver moments that linger with the audience. DEEPER is witty and touching, with some brilliant unexpected shifts.
