Sign me up for this play-- I adore it. A truly effective and scary play seems awfully lacking these days, and it is so nice to have so many trying their hands are evolving the genre to the stage. This play succeeds wildly, even by its mere existence on the page. It is simple, funny, and genuinely scary. Thank you for the use of the word, "Chittering," which sent chills down my spine. I want to see this baby produced!

Perfect for Halloween! Or anytime you want to freak on someone else’s behalf. THEY’RE IN THERE is John Busser at his most maniacal. Really impressive how with just one character, a minimalist set, and some sound effects and voices from a phone - the playwright creates this incredible pressure cooker. A favorite line: “You’re up here, little phantom noises, just making my life hell.” Read it for the intense atmosphere. Read it for the radical surprise. Read it because you love great creepy little plays.

Nice, short, and creepy. It would fit nicely in an evening of short horror plays.

This piece had me itching my own skin by the end of page 2. The writer expertly builds the tension as his poor character has to suffer through this eternal torment. This piece needs an audience to appreciate the ever heightening tension the writer has created brilliantly before a superb ending! I'm not normally one for 'creepy' plays but this one really caught my attention and I think it will do for an audience.

This is a great horror piece. Very Twilight Zone esque! What a wonderful short play for an actor to perform! Audiences will love this play too especially around Halloween. Excellent job!

Oh, my, what a wonderful piece! JOHN BUSSER has the imagination and writing style to always write marvelous plays. “They’re In There!” is a gem! I thought I knew where his play was headed, until I was totally surprised. This is a winner!

I gasped at the last line of this creepy short! This descent into madness we as the audience join Mr Kaplan in...are we witnesses? Or are we actually going mad with him? We've all heard sounds that no one else can hear...haven't we? The intensity continues to build throughout these tight 8 pages until we...we're not released, no...but thrown into darkness and left to our own madness at the end!

A delicious little creepfest short sure to hit with actors, technicians, and audiences alike. Busser gives a tight guidance for the horror at hand, but still allows so much room for play, which is lovely to see. The "is it all in his head?" motif is one we see often, but the twist here (which I dare not spoil) is quite ingenious, and different. Fun piece.
