It's a play from the off-kilter mind of John Busser, so you know you're going to get a feast of giggles, groans, and guffaws. All the well-honed tools from Busser's bag of tricks--the sly wordplay, the outrageous puns, the creative anachronisms (because, why let chronology interfere with a joke?), the odd pop-culture references--make their appearance in dialogue guaranteed to delight any reader and any audience. Vintage Busser and therefore terrific.

I've always loved the way John sets up for a play so that even before the characters have spoken you can see the stage/scene in your mind, and from that point in it gets even better! Maxie is an absolute diamond of a character who offers lines that had me laughing out loud at certain points. You don't often associate philosophy with laugh-out-loud humour but if there is anyone that could make it happen, John could, and has! Would make a fabulously unique play for a festival!

A Danny Devito-type character, loads of “father” jokes, and olive gardens! From the mind of John Busser, it’s Ancient Greece like you’ve never seen it before! Funny, smart, everything you expect from a John Busser comedy and only 22 (23?) drachmas!
