To read a Morey Norkin play is to be entertained by the unconventional, the inventive and the hugely entertaining. The scenario is something which may not be too far in the future; but the innate relationship which builds between the passenger and attendant may not be ready for a few years - but it is so well realised that you shouldn't be too sure!!!! Wonderful!

A few years ago this would have been pure sci-fi, but with each passing day a scenario like this comes closer to reality. Is it wrong to be rooting for these two to get together? Morey Norkin’s delightful Flight of Fancy gives us plenty of laughs but also a lot to think about.

Morey Norkin provides every sci-fi geek his dream flight - complete with a robotic companion straight out of one of Isaac Asimov's novels. Funny, charming and interesting - FLIGHT OF FANCY is a blast to read and I would absolutely love to see it staged! Loved it!

The course of true love ne'er did run smooth ... especially not when one partner is fully human and the other has been programmed to respond. This is a very witty look at the possible repercussions of the movement of ever more life-like robots into daily life and a thoughtful consideration of what motivates attraction.

In just seventeen short pages, Morey Norkin fascinatingly explored what being a human really means! A perfect blend of wit and comedy, innocent love-at-first-sight, and AI-enabled explanation of the futility of love with a robot, "Flight of Fancy" is a brilliant play that provides excellent lighthearted comedy and asks profoundly relevant questions that we all may soon face. The actors and director would have a field day, and the audience will enjoy this brilliantly crafted story immensely and look forward to further development.

I highly recommend this short piece by Morey Norkin if for no other reason than he brought an artificial life form to vivid life for me in less than 20 pages. Sometimes you merely get through dialogue you read but it doesn't affect you either way. Here, I was amused by where I THOUGHT the conversation was going and then fascinated by where it went. The characters were both charming and perfectly complimented the other in a flirty-yet-innocent exchange that I wanted to keep going on longer. I think a followup is in order here. A return flight, perhaps?

This charming play looks a long way forward into the brave new world hurtling towards us, a world that maybe isn't so far away after all. The tiny-theater production that I saw was both funny and surprisingly affecting. Read it!

I watched the Tiny Theatre performance of Flight of Fancy and loved it. It is a delightful, funny, and ultimately moving play about the power of personal connection—I’d say “human” connection but, well… just check this play out. You’ll be glad you did.

I was lucky enough to hear this fantastic play performed on Tiny Theatre - and the timing was perfect because I'll be flying this week for the first time in YEARS, and I'm feeling quite a bit like the man! It's a hilarious reflection of just how alien and heightened the rituals and routines involved in air travel tend to feel! A social humanoid would not feel out of place at all! The hilarious piece ticked all my boxes as a fan of comedy and sci-fi theatre. "My chassis, my choice" almost killed me! I'll be rooting for these two!

Nothing artificial about this piece, only intelligence. Humanity equating to empathy. Typically Morey Norkin: humor, warmth, irony and flashes of sheer brilliance. Bravo! I look forward to seeing it read by #tiny_theatre Tuesday May 2, 2023!
