  • Lee R. Lawing: A Higher Power

Giving an entire new meaning to being high on Jesus's love, this funny, funny tale is pure Busser magic. I'd be up for the entire Gospels being re-written by him which might just make me want to believe again.

This played like a video in my head as I was reading it. Cleverly constructed and with so many genuine LOL moments, this piece of pure fun deserves to be put in front of a 'hungry' audience.

Chris - what a good time (yes Chris - just read it)! Although the former altar boy in me should be bothered, there's just too much silly fun to worry about blasphemy. I started laughing at the outset and it just kept getting funnier. Cheech and Chong meets Mel Brooks meets Monty Python. Brilliant!

  • Christopher Plumridge: A Higher Power

This is a wonderfully funny slice of Monty Python-esque hilarity!
No spoilers, read this for yourself, but suffice to say Jesus comes up with a miracle of an idea to orchestrate their escape.
Best line ever...'Pass the brownies on the left hand side' ! Tales me back to my musical youth. Love it!!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: A Higher Power

My first big laugh came courtesy of "Would you calm thy country ass down?" and the laughter continued from there. This is a Busser classic! Perfect for the holiday season or ANY season you want a good, clean laugh! Christ remains Christlike while giving everyone what they need in order to find their inner peace and joy!

Leave it to John Busser to create a play that’s offensive, profane, blasphemous… And hilarious! I loved it and, after reading, felt thoroughly donkey swozzled. Fantastic!

This is a fun, funny piece that truly makes you feel for poor Peter. He gets a bum wrap. Enjoyable read throughout, would be a hoot to watch!

John Busser, the true miracle is thy sense of humor! The description says 15 minutes, but the running time could easily double as actors are forced to hold for laughs. A truly righteous play, dude!

JOHN BUSSER takes a new look at the possibilities of Jesus Christ, Peter and Paul having to deal with a problem of their own making. “A Higher Power” is a witty piece in which we can all laugh and smile.
