"Tipping" is a powerful play that delves into the complexities of human emotion and the struggle for self-discovery. The play examines the theme of despair and the struggle to cope with life's challenges. It also explores the impact of unemployment on one's sense of self-worth and purpose. Additionally, the narrative touches on the need for release, expressed through one character’s unconventional approach to dealing with misery. Blevins hints at the complexity of human connection and the potential for empathy even in unexpected circumstances.

Blevins shows real compassion and insight here. Liked the twist at the end and the connection which seemed elusive. Congratulations.

Wow! I hate to use a cliche, but this is a fantastic play!

I love how the premise of this play is introduced and I love how we get to know these two characters. Both are engaging and it's interesting how their roles switch near the end. A lot of laughs and well-written roles for men and/or women. Well done!

One of the things I love most about 'Tipping' is its universality. Blevins' characters are flexible, colorful, and pack such a punch. Whoever SADSACK and BADASS are played by could change the way the story is perceived by the audience; Blevins' openness is a gift. 'Tipping' is beautifully theatrical and generously written. It will leave you with an ache and a longing that last far long than the play's 10 minutes.

"big Misery Fart" is inspired indeed. This play has me thinking about the song from Damn Yankees, "Two Lost Souls." There are a good many people who can relate to the two inhabitants of this play's world. Some of the most important things in life can happen when you're waiting for someone else to do their job.

Our mismatched bar denizens make for great interplay, and their final moments are truly heartfelt.

Superb bar story. Love the character names, their hinged and unhinged interaction (cursing vs. non-cursing), the cool unexpected tipping point - aka the law of accretion, and the miraculous resolution. When Badass trespasses into sacred bartender space, the play begins to soar. Blevins shows again that she’s a wily psychological dramatist. In some ways TIPPING feels like a full length condensed down and fast-forwarded to its most perfectly dive-bar moment. Can’t wait to read the companion pieces that go with this fine play.

The characters, Badass and Sadsack, are perfectly named as Jillian Blevins’ dialogue makes clear. In a bar where no bartender can be found, these two strangers, polar opposites, handle the situation in their own unique ways. As different as the two seem on the surface, there may be something underlying that binds them. Great writing! Would love to see it live!

TIPPING contains two expertly crafted characters thrown together in a bar with no bartender. Their language, initially in such contrast, turns as they get to know each other while waiting for a drink that never comes. This is an excellent, intense two hander, which would be a wonderful challenge to produce, as it gives the two actors such complex characters to portray. Very good!

I love the energy of this play! Badass and Sadsack were destined to meet on this truly remarkable evening. Blevins' well-drawn characters offer quick dialogue that might seem snappy at first but offers rich, nuanced subtext to very real (and relatable) issues. This piece is a goldmine for two comedic performers. I'd love to see this one up on it's feet...and maybe at a local watering hole. Well done, Jillian!
