Prillaman hits a home run once again with this unique, imaginative, and fun romantic comedy! Daniel Prillaman has a knack for outrageous comedy with peculiar characters that make the plays very entertaining and memorable; and this play is no exception! I hope Nora’s outburst makes you laugh out loud as much as I did when I read it!

What a hoot! The animals guiding Nora and Patrick are full of pragmatic, if somewhat lewd, advice. These are not your typical saccharine fairy tale woodland creatures which is what makes this play so riotously funny. A treat for actors, designers, and audiences alike.

A hilarious and unexpected twist on the traditional fairytale! I had no idea what would come next, and the surprise animal at the end had me cracking up. This would be a huge crowd-pleaser at a short play festival or comedy show. Fun for actors, directors, technicians, and audiences alike! Looking forward to reading more.

This could be the guidebook as to how our animal friends really encourage the love lives of humans. Disney would be appalled. Audiences will laugh themselves silly.

Absolutely hilarious short that takes the fairytale trope of helpful animals and romance and turns it on its head. If you're programming a warped Valentine's Day festival, you need this piece in your lineup. Find two of the funniest people you know and put this script up onstage ASAP!

Well, Snow White this ain't. It's SO much better! Daniel Prillaman takes aim at the ridiculous notion that, if animals took an interest in human romantic affairs, their involvement would be limited to helping a maiden do her chores so she could go to a ball, or maybe singing a catchy calypso tune encouraging a prince to go for that smooch. They're animals, after all.

    Also, Toby is awesome.

The thing folklore forgets about its animal familiars is that they're, well, animals. While they have a soul connection to their humans, they are still who they are. Prillaman refuses to anthropomorphize Nora's avian advisor Ralphio, bit that doesn't prevent Ralphio from being vividly expressive. In fact, Ralphio is often significantly clearer than Nora!

The romantic stakes are high for our socially awkward maiden and her songbird Cyrano as she builds up to wooing the beautiful Patrick, enduring conversational and situational challenges throughout. Hilarity ensues. One can't help but root...

If you need a pick-me-up, you definitely need to read this short play. When the reveal happens... Oh, and then when the parallel moment strikes... Listen. If you want an audience to giggle themselves to death, this is the show to put on. Amazing lol

Hahaha I am so very pleased I stumbled on this play, it's brilliantly hilarious! We all need a Ralphio in our lives, a little bird to guide us in the ways of love. Nora's foul mouthed reaction to a certain bit of Ralphio's advice must be the funniest piece of script I've read in years! I would love to see this performed, the animals played by actors or puppets, either would be hilarious! LOVE IT!!
