This play shines as brightly as the diamonds in the sky with ruby. I had a lump in my throat when reading it. Playwright Christopher Plumridge has written with great empathy and craft, tapped into a universal longing...to speak with our loved ones one more time after they pass through the veil. This is gorgeous writing. Summer and April will stay with you long after the last page, and in your heart. Read this and produce it, hopefully immediately!

To give away the path this play takes would be to do it a disservice. Chris Plumridge has crafted a touching fantasy of a kind we could use more of. One that promotes connection with the past and treats it with the reverence it deserves. As the story unwinds, we get new insights into the characters which is what you want all stories to do; keep the audience engages by learning more as you go. This is terrific writing.

This is a sweet, fantastical play about remembrance, regret and ultimately, love. It has lovely, atmospheric dialogue and would be a lovely play for a short play festival with good roles for the two actresses.

A fantasy which is, maybe, shared by all of us but here comes to you like a bolt from the night sky - it works an absolute treat and causes a sudden and surprising surge in emotions. Clever and insightful writing - a really fine piece of work.

Don't be fooled by the setup. I can assure you that this sweet, tender, atmospheric play isn't going where you (or the protagonist herself) think it will go! This piece is driven by music and conversation and fuelled by a touch of magic that any lighting designer would delight in manifesting. A sweet and surprising story about love and grief.

This play is so beautiful. The characters are really fleshed out with well-rounded dialogue. The language of this piece creates the loveliest imagery and the climax pulls at the heartstrings. By the end, I was sobbing. Well done!

From the moment opening stage directions I knew this was going to be something special. Chris creates a beautiful moment that depicts how amazing one moment of human connection can be in your life. Its a piece that creates wonder about the world we live in as well as critical thought about our place within the world. That is what April is thinking about when she has, what I'm sure most will agree to be the most wonderful experience. I won't say any more because it is my firm belief this is a piece that needs to be experienced!

Don't let the fantasy label mislead you. There are no dragons or wizards here. Just a lovely story about a woman who has lost her mother, a story that proves anything is possible on a Midsummer's night. Very nicely done!
