What starts out as a funny sci-fi situational comedy with a believable timeframe and fully realized characters, synthetic and organic, steadily moves out of this world dark. Bravo.

“Art Doll” by Mike Byham is a creepy and clever sci-fi play, Byham creates a believable world that feels safe and then .. it doesn’t. I never saw the twist ending coming and it is so satisfying. Well done!

Byham writes a wonderful and trance-inducing script called Arti Doll! - Headline of the next Hollywood Newspaper. Loved it! Raised major questions as to where we are headed as a society in a humorous, but disturbing way. Would love to see this live!

Mike Byham never disappoints and always gives us a thought-provoking and entertaining experience, I recommend "Arti Doll." This one-act play that cleverly explores AI and extraterrestrial life, blending dark comedy with sci-fi for a unique theatrical adventure. Thank Mike..

Byham does it again! This sci-fi play may take place in the future where we have 10G networks and AI robots as toys, but it doesn't feel that far off. This is so relatable and terrifying and I can see Hollywood wanting to produce this as a film or series! Get your contract signing hand in shape, this is a hit!

The best sci fi/fantasy works equally well as parable. Or metaphor . . . but I would prefer to see this compelling, humorous yet ultimately tragic piece as a parable. That speaks to our current troubled time. And, perhaps - unfortunately - to our future.

This is a compelling futuristic piece made totally believable by its naturalistic dialogue and strongly written characters, human or otherwise. I absolutely love it. Brilliant work that must be produced.

Mike Byham’s ARTI DOLL is a chilling dark comedy that makes you question what should we bring into homes and what is there that we haven’t realized yet. Byham writes some truly compelling dialogue as well as establishing strong world building to make the scares seem like they can happen in your own home.

Whether you're haunted by the future of AI, the threat of alien life, or that one Talking Tina episode of The Twilight Zone, something in this horrific sci-fi short will chill you to the bone! This play is cleverly paced, with critical information emerging just when the audience needs it—but it still leaving plenty of room for unexpected reversals that will have audiences gasping! Though scary, it still manages to maintain an absurd sense of wit and humor (I loved President Miley Cyrus). Stick around until the last scene and enjoy a fantastic, creepy trip to the uncanny valley!
