With stuffed, claire dettloff has done an excellent job of setting the audience in a specific time and place. maggie and june are hilarious. I immediately felt like I knew them, and I was invested in their conversation about boobs, pancakes, and more.

Added to the annals of international incidents at late night pancake joints, this humorous exchange between the haves and the have-nots is highly enjoyable. Claire Dettloff’s characters deftly navigate the rigors of friendship, partying, body image, and underwire bras. Seen at the 2024 Valdez Theatre Conference.

Maggie and June may be as messy as the 24-hour ihop (sorry, "International House of Pancakes") where they find themselves at 2am, but Dettloff's sly craftsmanship and warmly empathetic characterizations are anything but. A marvelous little vignette - sweet and salty in equal measure, like any late night post-drinking comfort food should be.

Dettloff has a unique ability to turn nostalgically familiar settings and characters into a site of hilarity. I would absolutely watch a collection of joan and maggie's trials and tribulations.

A lighthearted late-night little play loaded with laughs! This play has very clear characterization and is just plain fun.

This short play was an absolute delight to read. Loved spending time with these two women.

A very funny 10-minute. Loved the raunchiness of it, and yet the characters all seem "real" and well developed (pardon the pun). It was a hoot imagining how this would be played out on stage. I imagine it would get pretty raucous laughter from those who viewed it. I know it would from me. :)

Claire Dettlof has a knack for writing women as we are as opposed to how we’re expected to be. The world is obsessed with our bodies, but really, so are we. This raunchy, goofy, relatable 10-minute bitch-fest is full of perfect one-liners and slumber-party fun.
