Such a simple setting with three mothers watching their children at the playground. But it's a play and you have suspicions. What could go wrong? One mother goes off for too long? No not that. She does something not allowed. No not that. You'll be guessing. Whoa! Bravo Ms. Vogel.

An profound study of motherhood and every mother’s instinct to act as a guardian angel to their children. This is a well-written and inciteful piece of theatre.

What starts out as a typical day at the park with mothers sharing good natured banter and occasionally screaming at the unseen kids, turns into something quite surprising. And the banter and screaming were enjoyable. Even comforting. But the twist… wow! Well done!

This play is a wonderful look at something any parent has experienced, until it isn't. A play with three characters who are easy to understand and hope for and a huge plot twist to boot. This short piece is a fun story that packs a punch. Well done!

VOGEL’s short work “Overtime” explains the lives of three moms just trying to keep their children safe. A sweet yet incidental story that will pull at your heart strings. Bravo!

This is such a surprising and suspenseful short play about “parenting,” in its own way. It is beautifully constructed. The “mom” talk at the beginning builds slowly and naturally, and the twist is awesome because Vogel doesn’t succumb to stereotypes of what we expect these characters to be. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and would love to see it on stage!

This is one of those great plays which will have the audience saying Ooooo... at the end. What starts out as a seemingly normal meeting of mum's doing their best to lookout for their kids, turns into something really quite magical. Lovely!

The key to an exceptional ten-minute play is a brilliant reversal, and this simple and surprising twist transformed a familiar, mundane scene into something out of this world! I love how most of the action of the play happens off-stage, leaving audiences to use their imaginations, and making the stakes feel even higher! The dialogue is relatable and flows naturally, and the twist will provide designers with an opportunity to make some good, old-fashioned theatrical magic. This piece was heartwarming and left me with a hopeful feeling. Charming and easily staged, audiences will love this one!

This play started out sweet and relatable and ended magical and inspirational! What a wonderful twist of an ending. A beautiful story of loving those who have free will and are unpredictable!

Well, this is perfectly charming with a twist ending I didn’t see coming. (Hint: don’t read the subject keywords.)
