Horror/comedy at its best! I love the set up, a scaficial slaughter to the great deity, only for both the Acolytes and the sacrifice herself arguing semantics with the Leader. Jacquie tackles this with total hilarity, in perfect Python sketch style but with her own unique slant.
With a nod to Prilliaman noted too... I would love to read a Priskorn/Prillaman comedy horror collaboration....if they are up for it....!

A very funny comedy/horror piece with an entertaining twist at the end. Loved the dialogue between the characters... kept the piece moving forward well. An exciting ten-minute for the right kind of festival... no sacrifice for them if they make this part of their schedule!

I adore this twisted short play! FLOYD-PRISKORN uses wicked humor to turn the tables on a secret sect’s plans, and she does it mastefully. Audiences will LOVE this - PUT IT IN A FESTIVAL NOW!

What could be more fun than the lighter side of human sacrifice? The dialogue is witty and the premise quite clever. The very surprising twist ending puts a darkly comic button on the great pleasure that has come before. I can't recommend this novel dark comedy highly enough!

Oh I couldn't wait to dig into another Jacquie Floyd comedy and she did NOT disappoint. You should all sacrifice about 10 minutes of your time to read this hilarious look at human sacrifice (and yes, you CAN make that funny). It's not all fun and deity-pleasing. Someone could get hurt. Or eaten. And then where would we be? Probably laughing our asses off like I did reading this. I think this play would be even better staged, as the tech crew would be having a blast bringing the mayhem to life. Thanks for the great read, Jacquie!

A weighty debate about the act of sacrifice. Jaquelyn has given us a light hearted dark comedy with a delicious twist ending. If you ever plan to join a blood cult, keep in mind the pitfalls and be sure to bring your own cleaning supplies.

If anyone can make human sacrifice funny, it’s Jacquie Priskorn. Here we have the sacrificial human trying to convince the members of a bizarre sect that offering her to their deity isn’t much of a sacrifice for them personally. Their responses are hilarious, and the ending caught me completely off guard. If there’s a lesson maybe it’s don’t follow others blindly, especially with a dirty blindfold. Props and tech will have a field day with this one!
