A laugh-out-loud and surprisingly intimate screwball comedy that somehow has room for both larger than life comedic characters and ample humanity. What I love most is the specificity of the dialogue, which tells you absolutely everything you need to know about the lovable cast of ridiculous characters who come to see the "thing" in Jackson and Laila's home. The lovely reversal is structured beautifully, offering audiences that genuine "surprising but inevitable" feeling that leads to gasps!

This play really is crazy! So much happens but the comedy of it with the timing and double casting makes it feel like an SNL skit! Reading it made me laugh, I can only imagine how watching it would be! Hilarious! It was also refreshing to see someone who is successful in so many different aspects of their life publishing plays in their spare time. This was a really wacky, keep-you-on-your-toes kind of story!

Part of the appeal of this script is the hilarious use of character doubling. Deb Hiett is a comedic genius with so many small pieces of the play holding specific details that warrant a chuckle when you realize them. The title serves its purpose because this play is crazy. It also holds a heart-warming relationship that prevails through all the twists and turns.
