So I read this to my cat (currently sitting in a box) and while I wanted to get to know Norkin’s cat better, my cat just shook his head and did “the face” that said, “Poor cat. Doesn’t know what they’re missing.” A monologue that will delight cat and dog lovers alike plus the physical choices for the actor are endless.

Morey Norkin captures the complexity and absurdity of the cat psyche with perfection in this short, fun piece. I would love to see a performance of an actor doing mental and emotional battle with a cardboard box on stage. Brilliant!

This would be a great monologue for an actor to do an animal embodiment exercise with. It would be very fun to play and even more fun to watch!

I once purchased a luxury, soft and cosy basket which hangs on a radiator, for my precious princess of a cat, only to see her happily curled up in the box it was delivered in. Said precious princess never used the basket.
However this pusscat in question has some old, unidentified trust issues with cardboard and thus delivers a very funny and accurate monologue.... or a MONO-MOG ?

9/23/2024 - Brilliant capture of the cat psyche in this fun monologue. Cats are mysterious beasties indeed, and Morey Norkin has give. His some insight into their hidden motivations and their thought process.

9/23/24: I mean, the cat picture pretty much guaranteed I was going to give this a recommendation... I kid, I kid. Very funny monologue, as per the norm for Mr. Norkin. This would definitely be an enjoyable monologue for young actors to perform or to witness. Recommended!
