Just a gorgeous allegory encompassing life, death and the power of bees to grant extra time. If you’re not sure how this blends together, read it, produce it and let the flowers bloom where they may.

This short play hit home hard, bringing up memories of my own recent losses. But they were welcome because through the gentle stories of the transition of Max, Jo, and Rae I remembered how those little moments made the loss bearable for the moment. Beautifully crafted and generously given.

Even though this play is about loss, about death, I found it to be full of light. Something warm to hold onto in cold, dark times. A stirring piece, as sweet as honey!

Well if this doesn’t bring a tear to your eyes nothing will. The immediate aftermath of a great loss is a difficult time to navigate. Sometimes you just need to take a moment with a supportive soul. The memories that are shared and the final discovery are moving beyond words. Beautiful work.

02.05.25 - Beautiful and touching, Jacquie Floyd's take on grief and moving on from tragedy is as compelling as it is relatable. We all go through this experience with family, a loved one, a close friend. It's never an easy journey but one we all go on. What better way to ease some of the pain than with a reminder of the person who passed, in this case, origami flowers and (in a wonderful touch for their reason to be there) bees. It was a terrific touch from a writer adept in heart-warming tales

    OH, MY HEART!!!!

JACQUELYN FLOYD-PRISKORN has created a beautiful world where family rooms becomes hospital rooms, paper becomes flowers, and employment becomes mentorship in the most difficult of times. Despite the heaviness of the subject, FLOYD-PRISKORN pours so much light, love, and hope into this powerful short play. JUST STUNNING.
